Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Review
I recently purchased two Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 devices, one for myself and one for my wife. We’ve been using them for a couple of weeks now, and I’m impressed with their performance. The build quality is solid, and the battery life is excellent. Samsung’s software build seems to be doing a great job so far, with smooth updates and no noticeable bloatware.
The Pen: A Nice Addition, But Not Essential
The S Pen is an interesting feature, but I’m not sure we’ll use it frequently. I purchased cases that secure the pen in place, making it almost invisible when holding the tablet. Without a case, the pen might get in the way, but it’s held in place by a magnet. If you don’t plan to use the pen, you can simply leave it behind.
Gaming and Performance
Games and apps run smoothly on this tablet. I’ve tried demanding games without issues, and the device handled them well. I even ran the 3DMark Wildlife benchmark, which it aced at 2560×1440 resolution. However, the more intense Wildlife Extreme test at 4K resolution was a bit more challenging, with an average of 15-20 frames per second. Still, this tablet holds its own for its price point.
Overall Impression
So far, I’m pleased with the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8. While it may not be the best performer out there, it’s more than sufficient for my needs and my wife’s gaming habits. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable tablet at this price point.
