Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite vs. iPhone 13 Pro – Quick Comparison

Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite

Having used the Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite for just a few days, I’m still deliberating whether it will become my daily driver, especially given my current usage of an iPhone 13 Pro. One notable aspect that immediately stands out is the weight. On a scale of 1 to 5, the Mi 11 Lite scores a solid 5+. It’s incredibly light, making my iPhone feel like a brick in comparison. Xiaomi takes the lead in this category, and the lightness compensates for other potential shortcomings.

Design: Thinner Triumph (Rating: 5)

The design of the Mi 11 Lite earns a perfect score of 5. It boasts an impressively thin profile, outshining the iPhone in this regard. There’s no bulky camera bump to contend with, giving it a sleek and streamlined appearance.

Battery: Power Play (Rating: 5)

In the battery department, the Mi 11 Lite excels with a solid rating of 5. It not only outlasts the iPhone but also charges up faster, proving to be a powerhouse in daily usage.

5G Network: Limited Stateside Appeal (Rating: 1)

Regrettably, the Mi 11 Lite falls short in the 5G department, earning a disappointing rating of 1. In the USA, only 1 or 2 of the supported 5G bands are in use, making the iPhone, especially on T-Mobile, the clear winner in this category.

LTE Network: Par for the Course (Rating: 4)

The Mi 11 Lite’s performance on the LTE network is commendable, earning a rating of 4. It holds its own and is on par with the iPhone in this aspect.

Speakers/Sound: A Weak Note (Rating: 2)

The speakers and sound quality of the Mi 11 Lite leave much to be desired, earning it a rating of 2. In comparison, the iPhone delivers a superior audio experience, akin to a music hall.

Screen: Functional but Not Flagship (Rating: 4)

With a screen rating of 4, the Mi 11 Lite’s display is functional but not as impressive as the iPhone’s. It performs well and remains visible even in direct sunlight.

Cameras: Acceptable, with a Pinhole Perk (Rating: 2)

The Mi 11 Lite’s cameras receive a rating of 2. While the front and back cameras are passable, they pale in comparison to the stellar cameras on the iPhone 13 Pro. However, for everyday use, they suffice. A noteworthy feature is the pinhole design of the front camera, eliminating screen space loss seen in the iPhone.

One Week Follow-up: Battery Brilliance

After a week of use, the Mi 11 Lite’s battery continues to impress. It easily lasts a solid 12 hours of non-stop multitasking, a feat that would deplete my iPhone 13 Pro in half the time. As a result, I’ve made the decision to part ways with my iPhone 13, fully embracing the Mi 11 Lite for its exceptional battery performance.
