While the ASUS ROG Strix Scar 18 may lack touchscreen functionality, I’m compelled to award it a solid 5-star rating. Given my frequent business travels, I sought an alternative to cumbersome console setups, and this powerhouse laptop fits the bill perfectly. It effortlessly tackles every game I throw its way, delivering exceptional FPS and overall performance that exceeds my expectations.
Of course, it’s essential to note that being a gaming laptop, it tends to generate significant noise during intensive tasks and performs optimally when plugged in. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the sound quality, which, while not on par with a MacBook Pro, surpasses typical gaming laptop standards. Besides, the touchpad functions admirably and can be disabled entirely for seamless mouse use.
Regarding visuals, the screen is nothing short of fantastic, offering crisp imagery that enhances gaming and editing experiences alike.
